Made for TikTok Podcast Pilot | Emergency Edit & Social Cut
Programs: Premiere Pro
Role: Video Editor
Year: 2023
TikTok for Business launched Made for TikTok, a podcast series where creative leaders break down how they’re concepting, pitching, and producing TikTok-first work. For the pilot episode, Mike Czako, Group Creative Director at David&Goliath, shared how Kia’s recent Big Game campaign was built for TikTok, covering the advantages, challenges, and results of taking a TikTok-first approach.
The catch? This episode needed to be edited and finalized in less than a day.

The Challenge
Ultra-tight turnaround: The final edit had to be delivered in under 24 hours.
No prior involvement: I wasn’t part of the production process, and there had been a lot of back-and-forth on how the podcast should be structured.
Heavy footage: Around four hours of raw footage had to be cut down to key moments for an episode under an hour.
Social media cuts: Created short-form clips for social promotion.
What I Did
Quickly identified key moments from the four-hour recording to shape a concise, engaging episode.
Edited the full pilot in record time, balancing clarity, pacing, and content flow.
Coordinated with a motion designer to finalize and insert graphics without delaying delivery.
Created social-friendly short cuts for TikTok and other platforms to promote the episode.
Ensured a polished final product despite the extreme time constraints.
Results & Impact
Pilot successfully launched on schedule despite last-minute editing needs.
Provided TikTok for Business with a structured podcast format for future episodes.
Social cuts expanded reach, making the content more discoverable and shareable.
This project was all about quick problem-solving and fast execution, and while it wasn’t perfect, I delivered a complete, polished episode under extreme constraints.
